Healthy Education-Health education is an essential tool of community health. Every branch of community health has a health educational aspect and every community health worker is a health educator. But health education has been defined as a process which effects changes in the health practices of people and in the knowledge and attitudes related to suet changes.
A great deal of ill-health in this country and elsewhere is due to ignorance of simple rules of hygiene or of indifference to their practical application. However, health is of the greatest importance and an indispensable factor in life. Without it a man becomes burden to others and useless to himself. In other words, health is the basis of individual and social welfare.
Healthy Food-People and I (quite often) eat foods that are easily cooked or ready cooked. They do not even think of what they eat, and if it can affect their health or not. That is a bad way that most people do because our health depends on what we eat daily. Foods are the building blocks of every cell in the body, are responsible for the proper functioning of the whole body. It is important, for that reason, to know what is good for our body and what is not. The seminar was focused on the disadvantages of eating unhealthy food that may cause a lot of trouble to our health.
Healthy Thinking-From my point of view, healthy thinking is the most important aspect of everybody’s life in order to live well, because we live in a world where not many of us have time to keep healthy or stay fit. Is it really that important to eat healthily? The answer to that question is yes! And it is much easier than you’d first think!
Healthy Body- According to an English proverb, "A healthy mind resides in a healthy body". Healthy mind is the foundation of physical well being. Food, exercise and rest are important for maintenance of physical health. But for inner development, self-confidence, long life and happiness much more important is maintenance of mental health. If the mind is unsullied and pure, it will greatly help in maintaining physical well being and health.
Healthy Exercise- We tried to make the participants aware of the importance of being active, people who think that exercise is a waste of time should understand that it doesn’t have to take over their lives. It can take maybe up to a half an hour a day, but people who care about their own well being should be willing to take a little time out of their day to take care of themselves.
Healthy Cooking-In this seminar we presented some recipes from our countries and we compared what is the result of eating healthy or unhealthy food. We discussed why it is important to eat healthy foods to stay healthy.
Healthy Nutrients- During the seminar, we spoke about a balanced diet, which is one that provides an adequate intake of energy and nutrients for maintenance of the body and therefore good health.
Healthy Treatment- We discussed why healthy treatment is so important in everybody’s life. In general, mental health treatment reduces medical costs. Mental health strengthens and supports our ability to have healthy relationships, maintain physical health and well-being and so on.
Healthy Aging- It is clear that getting older affects every aspect of our lives: physical, physiological, mental and emotional. Aging is a lifelong process and taking proper care of ourselves and making healthy lifestyle choices at every stage of life, can go a long way towards helping us live longer and reducing our risk of disability.
Healthy Day-In my opinion, healthy lifestyle should be a way of living, and not just a temporary fix for a cold or to negate a gluttonous weekend. Once you get into the habit of maintaining a healthy routine, you will be able to see, feel, and experience the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
